Corrections Policy
Last Updated: September 30, 2026
HillsNews is committed to accuracy and transparency.
Although we make reasonable efforts to ensure that published information is accurate, errors can occasionally occur. When a significant factual error is identified, we will review the matter and take appropriate action.
How to Report an Error
If you believe an article contains a factual error, please contact HillsNews through our Contact Us page.
When reporting an error, please provide:
- The article URL
- The specific information you believe is incorrect
- The correct information, where available
- A source or evidence supporting the correction
How We Handle Corrections
HillsNews will review credible correction requests.
Where an error is confirmed, we may:
- Correct the relevant information.
- Update the article.
- Add clarification where necessary.
- Correct the headline where appropriate.
- Add a correction note when the nature of the error warrants it.
Minor typographical or formatting errors may be corrected without a formal correction notice.
Significant Corrections
For significant factual errors that materially affect the meaning of a story, HillsNews may identify that a correction has been made.
Corrections are not intended to conceal mistakes. Our objective is to ensure that readers have access to accurate information.
Updates to Developing Stories
News stories may change as new information becomes available.
An update to reflect new facts is not necessarily a correction. Where appropriate, HillsNews may update an article to reflect developments after its original publication.
